Bringing yet another dance floor hit to his enormous fanbase, Tiësto is back at it, teaming up with the colorful minds of production duo The Chainsmokers for “Split (Only U),” out now on Musical Freedom. Building off of a blood-pumping beat and a deep, brassy melody sampled from Ashanti’s 2005 original “Only U,” The Chainsmokers and Tiësto push “Split (Only U)” into full gear. The track was originally released to Beatport, where it quickly rose to number 1 on the charts last week. The song is now being released viaiTunes and is available for download on today, Monday, September 14, 2015.
Tiësto is a worldwide superstar who was voted “The Greatest DJ of All Time” by Mixmag, as well as crowned the #1 DJ by Rolling Stone. His musical abilities and instincts keep him at the top of music’s biggest DJs and producers and have sparked artists such as Kanye West, Coldplay, Katy Perry, and John Legend to tap him for high-profile remixes. In addition to recent releases such as his #1 charting collaboration with KSHMR, “Secrets,” Tiësto heads his “Club Life” channel airing on Sirius XM, and curates his compilation brand of the same name. Tiësto is also continuing his residencies at Hakkasan and Wet Republic in Las Vegas, as well as inspiring young artists to reach for their dreams as the host of the DJ competition series Your Shot USA.
