NEW Lunch Bar TV Commercial

Lunch Bar Logo

#DKEXP had the pleasure of attending the New Lunch Bar TV Commercial launch event which took place at The Sheds in Newtown. The venue was setup with the same props that were used in the making of the commercial and all the attendees had the opportunity to see, touch, feel and play with them, whilst waiting for the MC and funny man Mpho Popps to commence the festivities, which he did by greeting everyone and made a few announcements. Once he had concluded the announcements people went to help themselves to free  drinks and food that was being served throughout the night.

It was then time to watch the new tv commercial which explained exactly how the props were used and the story behind it all.

Mpho Popps did a few minutes of stand up and had everyone in stitches, he is really a funny guy and his Expressions are Excellent.

50 Years Lunch Bar Large 3D Oviaas

 Still much, much more…Oviaas!

Following an exciting campaign to celebrate its 50th Birthday, South Africa’s most iconic chocolate bar is excited to announce the release of a NEW Lunch Bar TV Commercial.

Launching mid-August 2015, the new Lunch Bar TV commercial follows the story of Mo, a resourceful character that owns and manages a makeshift gym in Shushonguve. The story reveals how Mo, in true hustler spirit, identifies an opportunity to create a network of enterprises that rely on the power generated by Mo’s Gym.

Cleverly built upon the premise of ‘everybody winsMo’s resourcefulness has a knock on effect. It allows him to offer services that people need, while also creating opportunities for him to give back to the community.

“Through Mo’s journey we realise that he is much, much, more than just a hustler,” says Peter Little – Creative Director for Ogilvy Johannesburg. “We learn how Mo continues to advance and finally discover the secret that fuels Mo’s resourceful nature… Lunch Bar, Oviaas!”

“The introduction of this new TV Commercial follows a series of iconic Lunch Bar commercials and we believe that its message will resonate with South African consumers,” says Meredith Kelly, Mondelez SA Category Lead for Impulse. “More so, the commercial remains true to Lunch Bar’s roots and continues to inspire its fans to act on their potential, giving them the drive to perform and the kick-start to surprise the world with their skills and abilities.”

To further inspire fans, Lunch Bar invites consumers to follow as we pay homage to South Africa’s Change Makers, while also applauding the unique solutions that only South Africans can find for everyday problems.

Since its launch in 1965, Lunch Bar has been the perfect snack bar generously packed with chunky peanuts, crisped rice, delicious wafer and chewy caramel all smothered in a thick layer of Cadbury Milk Chocolate.  A delicious mix of ingredients that fills you up with every bite as you tackle the road ahead of you.
