Alternative folk duo Shotgun Tori + the Hound are heading into studio to make an album. Following on from the success of Tori’s last (mostly fan funded) album ‘Be Brave’, she’s eager to put some of that bravery into action and do something wild and unusual.

An opportunity has arisen to record in New York City with a producer who has worked with the likes of Angus & Julia Stone (AUS) and Sufjan Stevens (USA), and closer to home, Farryl Purkiss’s SAMA nominated album ‘Home’.

‘As independent artists, we’re exploring non-traditional routes to get the music out into the world.’

Not ones to shy away from the seemingly impossible, and in a bid to create something beautiful and magical, Shotgun Tori + the Hound are pulling out all the stops to raise the funds to make it happen.

A Friday the 13th themed Poster Exhibition at Fallen Heroes (Parkhurst) is the first official fundraising event.

James Brown Band
Shotgun Tori + the Hound
